The Master Cleanse, also known as The Lemonade Diet, is a liquid diet that is meant to cleanse and detoxify the body. It consists of fresh lemon or lime juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. This mixture is combined with water and drunk 6-12 times daily. The diet also includes an herbal laxative tea, which is drunk twice a day to help with waste removal.
